Save your pennies....fill your bags for the "Miles of Pennies" drive. 

Congratulations to the children of Christ Church!!! Sunday they announced that the goal of their first Mile of Pennies $844.40 has been reached.  They will be able to purchase 1 cow, 4 goats, 1 pig, 11 chickens. Keep the pennies coming; they already have a good start on the next “Mile of Pennies”.

A trash can specified for all items to be recycled is located in the kitchen pantry and a basket for recycling Sunday Bulletins is located under the Info Table.

Save our cell phones. The Alleghany Partnership for Children needs your old cell phones to be re-programmed for DANA (the domestic abuse/sexual abuse assault program) to be given to women who are potentially dangerous situations. The phone will only be able to call DANA as a hot-line with all previous settings removed. Contact Carol Black and she will pick them up.

We will have the joyous ingathering of the UTO Blue Boxes which benefit so many people in the country and around the world. One of the hallmarks of these gifts is that they are so responsibly administered by the National church for very specific needs. The boxes have been filled with coins symbolizing our personal thanksgiving on a daily basis. Don’t forget to bring yours.

Please make sure that you attend our “Special Celebration” this Sunday May 18, 2008. You don’t want to miss it because during Sunday’s service a very “Special Announcement” will be made. Also, please join our very own famous chef Guy Crowe for a delicious lunch immediately following the service, to honor Mothesr, Fathers, Stepparents, Grandparents, and Caregivers. Come first and Fellowship!
